In a world with seemingly little student exposure to the field of surgery, Incisionary introduces a dynamic platform powered by cutting edge technology to promote the success and education of the surgical field. From scalpels to forceps, Incisionary is a student-led organization dedicated to bridging the gap between high school students interested in healthcare and the evolving world of surgery. We recognized that there is very little opportunity for students to understand and gain research experience in the surgical field, therefore, with regular and up-to-date research breakdowns on rising surgical technology and procedure, in-depth interviews with medical students and experts, and many valuable internship opportunities to get involved, we empower students to explore and engage with the progressing world of surgical innovation.

As a pillar of Incisionary, we wanted to receive the “inside the scrubs” knowledge of the surgical world. Our growing team of students have dedicatedly worked on developing the “Insight Series”, where our team contacts and speaks with current experts, professors, and medical students about their surgical experience. Although protected by privacy laws, this section of the blog aims to make a deeper cut into the surface level world of surgery and promote awareness of the real life impact it makes on several doctors and patients.
